Another Sunday

Ahhh, another Sunday and another blog. I have nothing to do today, so I managed to get my blog another entry. I've been cleaning the living room and unsoiling all the unnecessary wires and cables around the room. Gia woke up late today, around noon.

As usual, movies. Didn't go much. Only three movies. Kung Fu Panda 2, X-Men : First Class and Green Lantern.

Kung Fu Panda 2 is hilarious and Jack Black is awesome. The story is about Po, who already become the Dragon Warrior, accidentally found a trace of his roots and trying to find his way to uncover it. In his way was a heir of Gongmen City of the Peacock Clan, the evil Lord Shen.

The new X-Men movie was great, although there were misinformations here and there. Who read the comics, well, you know what I mean. But the cause of Xavier bound to the wheelchair is more appropriate than in the comics. Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Romijn made cameos in the movie. It is a must watch movie for those who loves X-Men.

Ah, the first Green Lantern live action movie. This long awaited movie turns out to be blunt. Yeah, I mean it. For those who knew Green Lantern for the first time or through this movie, I guess you may say this movie is great. For me, thank you but no cigar. Parallax from one of the Immortals, pffft, please. Ryan Reynolds should have stayed as Deadpool.

Oh, I just finished my first term holiday a week ago for two weeks. I didn't go anywhere except I went back home to Temburong with my family. It's been a while, but yeah, we had a great time. I helped my parents and siblings at our stall at Bangar. For those who go to Temburong, you should go and get a bite from my parents stall.

I did a lots of stuff since the last time I put the last entry, but I couldn't remember what I did. I should have jotted down on my notes. Oh well. Yes, have my new haircut and I lovin' it.

One last thing, I deactivated my Facebook account. I just didn't feel like to open it anymore. Maybe this is just temporary or maybe this is forever. I don't know. Just wait... or don't.

One Month, One Entry, Ay~

Yeah, I'm just slothful when it come to blogging. I do remember to update this blog, it just... Well, for those who know me, you'll get it.

Now, what have I've done for these past days since the last blog. Well, went to movies. Thor, Fast Five and latest, Pirate of the Caribbean.

Thor. It almost sticks to the comic, but there is no Donald Blake around, only the name. But hey, it's a movie, they can change it here and there. The storyline was good. The actions and the graphics, superb.

Fast Five. This suppose to be epilogue was great, with Dwayne Johnson added into the cast list, you know, The Rock. The story was in Rio de Janeiro (I've been wondering, Rio is getting all the attention these days with a movie made after it, Black Eyed Peas 'Don't Stop The Party' MV and now this.) I fall head over heels to one of its new casts. Elsa Pataky, ay yay yay~ *fainted*

The movie was great. Hail Vin Diesel!

POTC : On Stranger's Tide. It's good, but not great as its predecessors. The witty Captain (do not forget the Captain) Jack Sparrow is back, in search of Fuente of Jeventud, in other name, The Fountain of Youth. The new cast in this movie is Ian McShane as Blackbeard and Penelope Cruz as Angelica, his long lost daugther.

Do you know Penelope was pregnant in this movie?

That's it for movies, now work. Perpetual. That somebody doesn't want to be in the office, so I have to be the one to be holding the pen. Sheesh.

Gia just chipped her front tooth. Fell down while playing dancing dragon with my wife but she's still cute though. No matter. :p

Oh I haven't post her birthday video. I know, I know, it was supposed to be on the 22nd of April, but we didn't really celebrated. We just bought a cake and let her make her wish, and she's three now. We brought her to Jerudong Playground. Wearing swimming suit. Don't ask. Her choice. Argument, FAIL. You really don't wanna argue with our little tike.

Me: Jauh eh~~ Besides I just woke up.

Mai: Eh, ke mari saja... Gila, horny jua suara mu ah. Big night kah?

Me: Eh, antah ko, ngalih ku Mai. Malas ku. Jauh lagi.

Long Time No Blog

Hey...

I know, I've been M.I.A from the arena of blogging. Last entry was like end of last year. Hm, doesn't mean that I forgot about this blog, I'm just plain lazy. But come to think about it, who read my blog? *lol* ok I'm putting lol with a blank face.

Ok, what to begin with? Erm, ok, January, not so colourful. It's just a plain month to begin the new year with. Uh uh, I've watched Tron Legacy. That is one cool movie. I like the storyline, costumes, soundtracks... everything. I have become a true fan of the movie. Then it came in my mind.

February, I declared Project : The Grid. I made a theme into my Mac. I had to void the warranty of my Mac, just by dismantling it into pieces (well, the warranty ends on March, so I just don't give a damn), just to change the keyboard backlight colour. Now it's neon blue. Like lot of people in my office not agree with me on dismantling it, since I done it in my office. Like they gone,"Are you gone insane?". Even my wife said that.

I even changed my startup logo from Apple to Identity disc, my login screen, my 'About this Mac' logo and my taskbar colour into black. Oh, screen saver and desktop too. Just check it in my Facebook. I just don't know how to get the Apple logo colour into blue, because I have to take off the glass in front of the LCD. Well, I know how, but I am afraid to do it. Look fragile to me.

I started my training regiment early this March, when I bought the Nike+ sensor. I wanna buy the Adidas one, but I cannot find it locally and it cost around $250 while the Nike one only cost me around $40 (I mistakenly bought the $70, which include the iPod GPS sensor for Nano and Touch. I've been running for seven to eight, sometimes twelve kilometers every weekdays and I didn't lose any kilograms. It sticks to sixty. Must be because of the protein. Now I have to stop due to the weather and I just got back from my holiday for a week (holiday = no workouts).

How cool is that huh? One of the prize headphones in the world got into my hands. For me, it's THE headphones. How was it like? It's astonishing. The design is stunning and the sound, whoa... I LOVE IT. Talking about quality. The sound is crystal clear and crisp, the bass, thumping out loud. I used it on my iPhone and it sound great. But when it is connected with my Mac, it rattles my eardrums. Seriously, it's like you're in a club if you rev the volume up.

I'm addicted to it now, I always bring it everywhere I go and it is definitely a head-turner. Hah, talking about plush shit.

On Holiday

At last, I'm on holiday. I need this, away from work, vehicles to repair, paperwork and et cetra. My family and I are not going anywhere, just staying put in the country. Beside I'm recovering from the injuries I had previously. The wound and bruises are healed, but I still can't feel the pain. I barely cannot do pushups and sit-ups, due to my elbow and my chest. I hope it will subdue before the new year, because I've been agitated by my fitness and my weight is gradually increasing. I think I reached 63 kg, and that was last week. Nearly to my targeted weight.

After my self-defence course, I've become more interested on learning more of it and I've been observing MMA and UFC. I really want to learn it. I've been buying DVD about UFC and K-1, watching the technics on Youtube. Alas, I need the equipment to train. At least a punching/heavy bag and a pair of UFC glove. There is no decent gym in Brunei for MMA. If somebody know such a place, just hit me up.

Probably this is the last entry for the year. I have to make new resolutions. I really suck in changing my habits. This is it for now, au revoir.

Non-Stop Gaming

Games that I bought during the weekend:

1. Call of Duty: Black Ops.

2. Gran Turismo 5.

First of all, Black Ops is a continuation of World at War, which took place in the 60's where JFK was still in power. I find the game a little bit solemn than Modern Warfare 2. I don't know. Probably because of the technology they used in the game. But the control is great. Sam Worthington is the lead voice actor. Out of 5, I give it 4.

Next, Gran Turismo 5. Also 4 out of 5. Graphic, control, gameplay are superb. What do you expect? It's Gran Turismo. The game also improved its damage system. More cars and tracks are fetured in this game. WRC is still featured in this game, along with the new NASCAR and the Super GT. I've been hogging with this game like days now, man, it is exhilarating.

13 Tiles of Misery

I just woke up from my troubled sleep. Why? It is because of my right elbow. I got two stitches on it. Why? I hurt myself yesterday during our demonstration/graduation ceremony for our Teuk Goong Moo Sool course. At first, I didn't felt anything after I broke thirteen pieces of thin tiles with my elbow. I knew there were blood, but I can only see scratches on my forearm. So I really don't mind that time. When we were done with the demo, my colleagues started to notice my right sleeve were soaking with blood. So I took off my shirt and inspected what the cause of it. My elbow was punctured and blood were oozing out from it.

I brought it to the medic who tend one of my friend's leg and ask for a band-aid. That's all. I still can move and swing my right hand with no hassle. But in the afternoon, when I was home, I started to feel dizzy and my hand started to grew rigid. I can bend it, but no more than two inches. So I drank a lot of water and wrapped it a bandage. Then I took a rest by sleeping for a couple of hours.

The thing was the wound became worser. The blood did not stop flowing and it soaked the bandage pretty bad. I opened the bandage and there was a bruise around the cut. What a combination! I called my wife, well, she was attending his school camping trip in Kg Parit with her cadets, asking her if she can fetch me and bring me to RIPAS. She agreed and I went there around half past eight in the evening. You know what? I went home around two, in the morning. The emergency ward was packed with people and I half to wait for hours to get tend by the nurse. After hours of waiting, I got stitches, no broken bones and a hell of a pain. I cannot use my right hand for the moment, I even ate my supper using my left hand last night. Sheesh, what a day. Next appointments to check up my elbow will be on this Sunday and next Thursday.

P.S. Happy pulang tamat latihan atu, seksa dah habis, ganya tangan ani bah sakit. Minta kerja ringan saja ari Isnin. Nada belari-lari ni. Ada kawan ku luka, darah nya inda beranti keluar, mandi darah bajunya macam cerita Crow Zero.

The first entry for November and it's already halfway through the month. Sheesh, I've been busy, hence no blogging. Actually, busy is not the right word, tired is the definite word. Remember what I told you last month, I enrolled my self into self defense course? Yeah it's been two weeks, and the training is grueling and harsh. I've been sweating, bruised, even bled because of this course. The course is actually called Teuk Gong Moo Sool and it's from Korea. It is originally practiced by 707th South Korean Special Force, The White Tiger. I've done, rope climbing, running with logs, running for miles and anything that will strengthen your body. I even do knuckle pushups where my knuckle will bleed every time I do it. We do lots of stretches and splits. This part is hellish, I have to do the straddle split and bring my head to the floor. Don't say my head, I even cannot lay my elbow to the floor while doing the split for the first time. After weeks of stretching and splitting, I can put my head on the floor now. Man, it is tough. But the fighting stances are easy to execute. The backside of it, there are a lot to memorise. If you forget it, fifty knuckle pushups for you. We are training from morning until late afternoon. It is very exhausting. I need to rehydrate myself every now and then during training. Food is a must, like a lot of food. Some people will not have appetite if they are really tired, but not me. I've been munching from breakfast till end of the day, everytime I got the chance. Thank God the food is free.

The good side of it, my body is getting in shape, thanks for the protein shake and amino acid pills. It give me the energy everytime I do the exercise. My weight is stabilized at 61 kg. Oh, did I tell you I gained weight? Yes, I have. From 57 kg. Can you believe that? The protein help the growth and I can still run and pass the test.

3D cinema is introduced for the first time in Brunei (well, the first 3D movie I watch is at OGDC for learning purposes and that doesn't count... Erm, a little perhaps). It is introduced at our one and only The Mall. I haven't try it yet, due to my schedule and my tight budget but people said the experience is awesome. As a tech geek like me would love to try it. Perhaps I will watch it during the new Harry Potter movie. With my family of course.

Ah, Gia and I went to the TechExpo at ICC the other day. It was rather bleak compare to Consumer Fair, but still ok. As usual, lots of Brunei companies joined in to advertise their merchandise and I found lots of useful gadgets (and a lot of brochures). The funny thing, they got this future world. I thought it's gong to be super futuristic, turned out to be models of robots or monsters made out of styrofoam. It would turn children on but not me. Typical, isn't it? And, I met lots of my friends there participating with the expo, including my old flame (uhhhh~~). LOL! She was representing for a tuition school in Sg. Tilong, I think, and it's all about science.

Oh, ciggie's price have been increased, from $3 to $8 per pack. That is for branded fags, like Marlboro. Brunei had made this increment on first of November. Well, for me it's a good thing since I don't smoke anymore. I don't know about my friends who smoke, but what I heard or read, they've been stocking up since the news was out. Some of my friends were willing to buy cartoons of old stock for hundreds of dollars. That's crazy. Like the money, I will gonna use it for games or my Mac accessories or better, donate it. Well, it's their lungs and money. Not mine.

Looking Forward To Next Month

Been off from the net lately, so I picked up the last book I read and started where I last read it, The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. I left it hanging for months, about three months. Now, I read it everytime I have spare times. It's not easy when you got lots of work to do, doing chores, office work, taking care of the family, playtime with colleagues, playing PS3 and more. So now I'm taking my time reading the book. I brought it everywhere I go. Even it is now sitting silently next to my Mac waiting for me to pick it up and read it before I go to sleep. I really miss reading.

I enrolled myself into self-defense course which going to start early next month. I bet it is mostly Tae Kwan Do, since the seonsaeng was trained in Korea. Oh, seonsaeng is a word for teacher in Korea. It's been a while I want to join this kind of stuff, just there is no green light from my other half before. But since this thing is going to be held in my workplace so she can't argue with it. I'll be in this gruesome training for a month. The head instructor told us that we are going to be tested physically and mentally for this. I bet it is most to physically. Thank God I trained my upper body for weeks already. I hope things going to be alright with this course.

P.S. Mun sudah kursus cani inda kana suruh, apalagi kan minta airborne, sakit tah kali jantung pebinian eh. Suruh nya kali buat insurance nyawa mahal-mahal. Heheh...

Going Digital

Hey, how's everything? Hope everything's fine. It's nearly midnight and I can't sleep. My queen and princess are in deep slumber.

Remember about the modem? It has been replaced, for free. I didn't know about that, my wife went to TelBru and made a complaint about it. Now we can surf the net with no hassle.

I'm thinking to do a project, well, a personal one. I've been researching about how to make a network server in my home. I've been asking my friend, Kandai, about it since his work is dealing with computing and IT. I wanna make a network in my home because it will make it easier for my wife and I to keep files in a remote hardrive and easier for me to keep all of my movies. I got a lot of movies that I've been digitalized, simply because I wanted to reduce space usage in my home. But not the books, I'll keep those in physical form just because I don't really like e-books. I need a workstation also for us to do paperworks. I made a network server diagram. I hope it work. But it will involved with lots of money. I haven't estimate the cost yet but I bet it will be thousands. My wife know that I wanna do this, but she doesn't know how much it cost to do this. I just said to her that I will handle this. It will take time but it will be worthwhile.

Downhill

Life has been bleak since our financial going downhill this month. Have a lot to pay. We don't even make a Raya open house for our colleagues. I don't know, hopefully my bonus for extending my contract with the government will be out end of this month. Well, to cover the expenses. Even at the end of November there will another bonus waiting for me. *wink-wink*

Oh, my birthday just passed a few days ago. Heck, we just go to Ideal dinner out, after I brought Gia to the Taman Jubli in Kiulap. She's just an active girl.

Work is hectic. I have to do the filing, computer work, errands, paperworks, etc.

And I've started to gain weight, thanks to the protein supplement I bought from a friend. I started to drink it early this month, and I gained around 3 kgs. And I started to hit the gym every morning after PT and every afternoon after work. It is tiring but it's ok. I already have a gym partner.

Basic Stuff

Since it's the weekend and I don't have any plans today, I decided to blog about this.

The Basic Items I Always Bring To Work

Yeah, I always bring these stuff to work every weekday, even to field works.

Here are my LV messenger bag (some of my friends call it 'gay' bag, whatever, as long I still got the sense of fashion in me) and my laptop's sleeve, along with my car key and iPhone...

...and this is how it looks like inside of my bag. I'll elaborate it more.

Yeah, I know. What's up with the bottles? Well, my dear readers, that is my pathway to healthy life. Since I was diagnosed... Oh, wait. I haven't tell you that. Maybe next time when I am ready to tell the world about that. Even my family doesn't know about it, except my amore (and my princess, if she understand).

The camera is a Canon 400D with 50mm lens attached to it. Since I was given a desk job, I always work with it. I do have the kit lens, but I rather using the 50mm. I don't know, practicing with it perhaps.

The supplements are from Nutrilite, Amway. It's all about anti-oxidant and stuff. Just daily intake. O.K, the small pot is the ointment for my itchy skin. Erm, enough of this. Moving on...

My lovely MBP. Being patriotic...

Mac really have limited USB connectivity, which is too close to each other and I can't connect my broadband modem and my hardrive together because the modem is too big. Hence I have to buy...

...this 'extension'. It got four extra ports, which is convenient. The white cable with the red tape is my iPhone dock connector to my Mac. Because of my abusive manner towards it, the line is nearly ripped out. You know, pulling it by the line, not the connector (but everybody agrees a lot of Apple accessories are fragile).

These are my trustworthy (almost) data keepers. The pendrive is 2GB and the hardrive is 320GB, which keeps a lot of movies, mp3's and office data. The pendrive is a bit sewel recently. I keep on formatting it.

My earphones. Both of them are quite abused because of prolong use and high volume. The white one is my iPhone default earphones, which I use it outdoors or whenever vanity strikes and the black one is Sony, which I use it indoors or whenever I want to have more feel with the audio. As you can see there are no covers and sponges. I'm thinking of buying a high-end earphones, more likely Studio Beats by Dre. But since I got the reputation of abusing things and the fragility of the earphones, I'm having a second thought. Probably I'll stick with Studio or probably not.

The last but not least, my car key and shades, Oakley Hijinx. I've been wearing this for months now since my Serengeti shades broken because I sat on it. It's a good shades, turns everyone heads wherever I go. It's Oakley, what do you expect? And the key chain is a pure silver with wood at the middle of it. I bought it three years ago when I went to Bali on my honeymoon, along with the ring I always wear on my thumb. It's either Billabong or Ripcurl, I don't remember. It's actually a pendant, but its leather necklace snapped out of it place. Since that, I tucked it away until I accidentally found it and made it as a key chain. It's perfect, since I don't really wear necklaces (conscience kicked in). It look like an airbender totem, right?

The other side of the pendant. Beach and coconut tree. It's from Billabong (or Ripcurl), what do you expect? Surfing merchandises.

Not Again...

My modem was fried... again. It happened last night when Gia and I was watching Sesame Street on Youtube when a lightning cracked suddenly. It was loud and bright, I even can see the flash when the lights was switched on. No rain and gale last night, it just happened. I didn't realised the modem was fried until the second crack. I ran to my modem but it was too late. Power on but no connection light was blinking. It supposed to have three lights, but now it only got one. Darn, so I have to buy another modem from TelBru? This is the third time. Thank God the router is still working. Now, I'm using the Bmobile broadband modem, which is murdering slow. Oh yeah, the Astro is working, for God's sake. Sheesh...

I took this yesterday, after work, using my iPhone. I went to Berakas Forest Reserve to take a stroll. It's been a while.

Fragger

I stumbled on this game about a week ago via my iPhone. It's pretty addictive. You just have to shoot/throw grenades to vapourize the enemy. You just have to download it from iTunes for 0.99 cents.

It got three chapters, actually four. There are Desert Strike, Lost City, Planet X (which you have to download after finishing Lost City) and Atlantis (coming soon). Every chapters have up to 40 levels.

How to play? You just use your finger up and down for direction of your throw and right to left for the strength of your throw. The game is actually a puzzle, so you just have to use your brain to solve it. Oh yeah, it got extra perks if you finish every chapters. Done with Desert Strike, you'll get multiple grenade throw. Done with Lost City, you'll get detonator and if you finish Planet X, you'll get infinite grenade.

However, today I went to check its website and I found out it got an online game for it. But it only have Desert Strike level and it is divided into three difficulties, Normal, Hard and Elite (which the harder you go, the less grenade you will be given).

The basic is still the same, just using mouse or trackpad to control the grenade. You just have to press spacebar to abort grenade and the F key to detonate the grenade.

I really, really, really need a vacation, I wanna go out from this country for a while. I wanna go to Singapore or K.L. Work is very depressing nowadays and being idle for a month is not good for me. I have this MC from our doctor for a month. No exercises, no field trips, no outside activities yada yada. My skin condition was at its worst. Thank God the doctor gave me some allergies pills and ointment. Alhamdulillah my skin is now getting better, leaving some huge marks on my legs, more like burn scars. No matter, as long as I'm not keeping on itching like apes.

Raya, this year, was bleak.

Disaster Movies (For Real)

Why is that when the US producers/directors wanna make movies out of Japanese games/animes sucks? Craps were everywhere when I watch those movies. For example, the new Tekken adaption, crap. Both storyline and characters sucks, big time. There gonna be a sequel? A REBOOT probably.

They don't go for the details. They just go for it, as long they make movies and make money out of it, without considering the fans of the games/animes. But when they make film out of American games or comics, they make it seriously, brick by brick. But even The Hulk had bad times, when Eric Bana portraying as Hulk. The plot went astray from the comic. But the second Hulk, portrayed by Edward Norton, was brilliant. Well, Edward is a fan of the comic.

There are bunches of movies coming up late this year, next year and the year after that. I hope those movies won't turn out to be a flop, just like King of Fighters which is just released recently.

For these few days, Brunei was hit by a syndrome, Zek Kaacchingzz's Syndrome. A guy made a apology video personally for his "girlfriend". I really cracked when I saw the vid. Kurang pulang pahala puasa ku olehnya nu... The video was viewed by thousands of people in just one day. Even his Facebook is a hit. From 300 friends to 2000 friends and still counting. The vid generated mixed reaction. For me, this is suicidal. Way to go Zek! Belaing mata ku nu...

I've been under the blogging radar at the moment. Nothing inspired me to do a thing, neither blogging nor photography. Been busy for weeks, and I can't wait for my leave in June. I hope they approved it, after weeks of jobs and outstations. Even I missed Gia's birthday, because of work but I didn't care. I went home on the 23rd of April, just to celebrate her birthday.

Oh yeah, I brought back my uncle's motorcycles from Temburong. One of it is one of my childhood memories, the Yamaha Chopper X650. It's been horribly left aside by my other uncle. It is battered and scarred. I don't know how to fix it, so I brought it to Yamaha supplier and they said it gonna cost me a lot of cash to fix it. Maybe 5000 quid. Deflated again. So, I just keep the bike in my garage. Thinking of to customize it, hell, it's gonna cost more. I will post the pictures of it next time I blog in.

Okay, I will blog in again if I got the time. Until next time.

Outstation And It Sucks

It's going to be a long week. I have a commitment to do, outstation in Temburong. The reasons, they are matters of national security.

Today is the first day I'm here. Well, actually I arrived yesterday with my colleagues. I'm not that thrill to be here on duty because I know I'm going to be stranded in the middle of nowhere without technology. Internet. Cellular network. All that kind of stuff. For example, this morning until ten o'clock in the night, stranded in Kg. S without any connection to the outside world, it's driving me loco and I nearly stay there for the night, thanks to my colleague who have the perkiness with the nature. I do like nature, but I won't survive in it. Besides, I miss my wife and my daughter. Just a day, this man is already lonely without them.

Thank God I have my lappy for watching movies and books to accompany me this whole week. I just bought new books last week, The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown and American Gods by Neil Gaiman. What else is new? Oh, just registered Omni so I can always be connected with the internet (except in Kg. S where the network is hell to find). Speaking of which, what happened to TelBru? I can't download any movies via Utorrent. My friend said they blocked peer to peer connection since they upgraded their system into one megabyte per second. The other reason is because Brunei is one of the country which have a lot of torrent downloads.

That's it for now. It's getting late and I have to wake up early tomorrow. Saiful, out.

I'm back! It's been a long time I didn't blog. The reasons of my hiatus are I'm quite busy with my schedule and work. Furthermore, I need a new laptop for blogging since my old laptop is getting slower (well, I kind of abused it with heavy loads and processing my pictures). Now, I got a new laptop. "The" laptop. I bought a MacBook Pro. I'm quite happy to get it but I'm still kind of blur with its functions and feature. I spent a lot of quids to by its accessories. iWork, iTune account and a laptop sleeve. No matter, as long I'm loving it.

At work, I'm appointed as my unit inspection officer. My job is to inspect vehicles and keep our progress up to date. I also given a task to revamp our office. This is one of the reason I need personal laptop. To do all my works and keep it inside it. I used to share the old laptop with my wife. That's why the laptop is getting slower. Now, she just use the old laptop for her job and got it formatted last night.

Gia is doing great. Nearly two years old, she's getting brighter and brighter. She's becoming more 'manja' and she's terrified to see millipedes. She will shout out loud if she sees one. She's active all the time, keep on running around and make us dizzy.

Time to get some sleep now, but both of my angels are still wide awake, especially Gia. She still writing scribbles on a paper and watching Barney.

Asalamualaikum, it's been a while. Been busy. New year came, with new resolutions. Hope I can fulfill it.

Went home to Temburong last week for a week. That's why I didn't update my blog. We had nothing to do there, just gone for picnic with the family at Selapon. The rest of the week, nil activity. Just playing PS3. My wife was really complaining about the idleness.

And my family and I like to congratulate to three of my friends.

Gia is sick again. We had to report her to the hospital on Sunday night. She got fever, watery eyes and runny nose. We wait there till 2am. The hospital was crowded and lots of kids around. Gia is sick but she just very active that night. Running around with some kids. Now her fever is settling down, what troubles me she have a slight cough. Oh, we spoilt her with a new bike (since she is sick).

Another Monday, Hmm... I started it with holiday. Yeah, I'm taking my holiday now. No work, no orders and no crap. I just wanna spend my time with my family. Next week, I will go to my home town, Temburong. I miss my family there. Hope all of my relatives are there, we always do some gathering when holiday comes.

Edvard is sick. Right now, he is in a workshop in Pulaie. Actually, we rented it to a car company, for $70+ a day. On the night gave it to the company, it involved with an accident. An Indonesian hit it from the back, on the left. He smashed the bumper and the rear light.

The Indonesian agreed to pay the damage which is hefty. So now, we just going to use my Zoe to move around. My wife is allergic to Zoe's interior smell, which is lavender. She's having a flu right now. Hehe, guess I have to change the odour.

My office mates and I were organising a Tekken 6 tournament for the kids today for school holiday. Every school holidays, we always have this kinda thing. Doing games and visiting places such as OGDC, Sehat factory and more.

My task was to be a technical supervisor, bringing all the stuff such as the PS3, TV, sound system and sort. Also, I was told to buy the prices. Not using my money, we had collections. I just have to buy so I bought school stuff, bags, books, files, etc. The tournament went from 2.30pm till 4.45pm and one of the winner was a girl. Hey, Lots of girls nowadays can play video games.

That's not my point actually.

Before we start our tournament, we were going to set things up. When I went to the room, I met my officers, playing a new game. Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare. I was intrigued by it so I watched them play. One of the officers went,"Hey pick up the joystick and play." So I played it with two other officers. You know what? The game was so awesome. The graphic was great. The gameplay was superb and I played it with them for almost two hours and I got addicted to it.

After the Tekken tournament, I went straight to Greencity Concept, Kiulap. The website is shopping.com.bn. This is where I always buy my PS3 games, so far, this is where you can get it cheap, I think. So I bought one, went home, set things back up, and press played. My God! I'm into it. Here is the trailer, well one of it.

Ignorance

About a month ago, I attended this selection for me to pursue further study. If I pass, I will have the chance to improve my career and my salary. But I didn't make it. After months of training, one thing let me down. Leadership. I am lack of it and I was so damn nervous when I was interviewed, presenting a topic and making command tasks. Now I can see my Achilles heel.

After the selection, I went idle. No training, escaped from my morning run, dissing my seniors and my punctuality is a mess. I used to wake up at 4.30 am, not anymore. Now, 6.30 am. My motivation is rolling down the chart. Morale down. Hell, I don't give a damn about work. OK, I do my work now and then but mostly I just hang around in the office, chatting with my mates, joke around, eat a lot and surfing the net. That's why I didn't make any updates, I am too lazy to think.

Hey, I used to be like this but before I married. Now it is catching up on me again. I hope I can brush it off within this end of the year.

Thank God I still have my family to support me.

Woke up late this morning, although I got a function at my work, second day of 'korban'. But I didn't go there, instead I went for breakfast with my family at U-sop around 9.30 am. After that, we went to my wife's friend's engagement, Ng Mei Chun.

Actually, after the engagement function, my wife and I was going to watch the sneak of New Moon but the Mall cineplex was full. The whole shows. We asked the Empire cineplex, it was also full. My wife really wanna watch it, since she read the books. Only seatings in front of the screen were available. So we cancelled it and she booked for the premier on Wednesday. Alas, no plans for the night and wifey was craving for my penne. ^_^'

Aidil Adha, also known as Hari Raya Korban or Hari Raya Haji is celebrated on 10th of Zulhijjah until the 13th of Zulhijjah by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son, Prophet Ismail, as an act of obedience to Allah. Aidil Adha occurs the day after the pilgrims conducting Haj, the annual pilgrimage to Mekah in by Muslims worldwide, descend from Jabal Arafah.

As we know, we Bruneians always celebrate Aidil Adha by going to the mosque on the 10th of Zulhijjah to perform sunat prayer and followed by a sermon. After that, 'korban' are made from domestic animals such as buffalos, cows and goats and the meat will be distributed to the people. Although Aidil Adha is not celebrated as big as Aidilfitri, we also visits to our relatives and friends to celebrate Aidil Adha.

Sungkai Gathering

Updates In Ramadan.

Asalamualaikum. It's been a while. No blogging and all. I just facebooked all the way.

Here's the update:

Work : Tiring. Have to work at night shifts during this holy month. Doing exercise and paperworks. The first night, not so good. Nearly throw up after three mile run. Thank God I will be on day shifts starting tomorrow.

I developed a new interest. But my hope to buy it was deflated and have to postpone it three years. Well, a man got to do what a man got to do.

During Ramadan, didn't do much. Being so idle is sickening sometimes. But I have my Gia keeping me company. I did this yesterday, cool eh?

Hey, my wife handphone had been stolen. During our weekly grocery shopping this afternoon. We had to find it like hours until we gave up. At last, my wife told me to buy a new handphone and we check at the stores after we bought Gia's new pair of shoes. She going to buy LG Prada, meanwhile I will get myself an IPhone. Gonna pamper ourselves.

Ramadan is here. All Muslims are waiting for this month, for it has a lot of benefits from other Islam months. In this month, it is a must for a Muslim to do fasting, as said in or holy Quran:

شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِيَ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِّنَ الْهُدَى وَالْفُرْقَانِ فَمَن شَهِدَ مِنكُمُ الشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ وَمَن كَانَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِّنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ يُرِيدُ اللّهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ وَلاَ يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ الْعُسْرَ وَلِتُكْمِلُواْ الْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُواْ اللّهَ عَلَى مَا هَدَاكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ ﴿١٨٥﴾

Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful.

Ramadan is the time where Muslims ponders about themselves, pray, do a lot of beneficence and spend time with family and friends. Muslim are told to fast from dawn until dusk to enhance self-discipline and to be generous by remembering the hardship of the poor and needy. Muslim are also told to more ibadah because the rewards are doubled in this month. There are many events occurred during Ramadan, such as Nuzul Al-Quran and Lailatul Qadar. So, let us fulfill our duties as a Muslim as much as we can in this holy month.

Look Who's In Town.

It's been weeks. I am involved in BRIDEX demonstration rehearsals, where the army will show their guts during the BRIDEX d-day and I wake up early, like four in the morning, almost everyday. Since I always wake up early, I always hit Muara Road, fast, while listening to Initial D soundtracks. Not the movie version, the anime version. The tunes makes me more aggressive. Like I hit the curve at Salar around hundred kilometer per hour. Like, whoa, adrenaline rush.

Back to BRIDEX, there I saw lots of unique vehicles, for example the Turkey tank. But one transportation thrills me every time I saw it. Well, there are two actually, but I managed to get one of it in action. Oh yeah, I borrowed Cheeko's 50-250 mm lens for this.

Can you believe that? Like WOW!

Oh yeah, I saw lots of burning today. This morning, there was one at Tungku Link. This afternoon, I saw five of those. There were at Lambak Kiri, in front of PTE Berakas, Lambak Kanan, Tungku Link and in front of DST Building. Gosh, and I still saw people running around during this haze period, despite of the smell of the smoke and the ashes flying in the air. Like dude, it's unhealthy. I saw one jogger, running on the highway, waving the smoke in front of him. Whatever. Their health, not mine. I stopped doing my outdoor activities like two weeks already. I just play badminton with my wife and friends. Just to keep myself fit, hopefully.

It's been awhile. The updates...

Been away for a week last week, I went to Temburong. Working. And I went inside a jungle at Selapon, which it's been years I didn't go into a jungle. Jungle, trees, bushes, rivers and weird stuffs. I do like the jungle with its freshness, but, I won't survive in the jungle. What can I say, I'm too... urbanized. I need technology, phones, laptop, internet, TV and other appliances. I would go mad if I'd stay too long in the jungle. Beside, I really miss my family back in Bandar. To kill the boredom and the lack of gadgets, I read books instead. I brought my new book, Weapon X, adaption from the comic, and New Moon, continunity of Twilight. I already finished reading Weapon X and read halfway through New Moon. I didn't take a single photo this time. Kind of bored. Why? I need lens that can go to distance. With only 18-55mm, it is limited. Oh yeah, one of my partners/instructors sucks. Every 27 Rejab, our country celebrates one event that happened 15 century ago where our prophet, Nabi Muhammad SAW traveled from Masjidil Haram in Mekah to Masjidil Aqsa in Palestine and he ascended to the seventh level sky, Sidratul Muntaha, riding an animal called Buraq as said in Surah Al-Isra', first sentence:

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي أَسْرَى بِعَبْدِهِ لَيْلاً مِّنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الأَقْصَى الَّذِي بَارَكْنَا حَوْلَهُ لِنُرِيَهُ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ البَصِيرُ ﴿١﴾

Glory to ((Allah)) Who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the farthest Mosque, whose precincts We did bless,- in order that We might show him some of Our Signs: for He is the One Who heareth and seeth (all things).

Along the journey, Nabi Muhammad SAW saw a lot of things, through Heaven and Hell. He also met several other prophets before him at every level of the sky.

The main agenda for this journey was for us Muslim to create a relation with Allah through Solat and it is mandatory for us to do it five times a day, according to our Prophet teachings, directly to him not by revelation.

So, make this as our guidance by following the path showed by our Prophet and never do anything that forbid by Allah.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Went to watch Harry's new flick last night. I've been waiting for it for ages. OK, here's my review. For those who haven't watch it, read no more because there are maybe spoilers.

Right, I'm giving it 6/10. Why? It's a brilliant movie, I admit, but there are lots of the plots in the book are cut out. I know it is silly because it will never fit the movie for two hours, but there are information that are left hanging, and they want us just to think of it. For example, the relationship between Tonks and Remus are not explained, but they are together. The new Minister of Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour are not introduced in the movie. The movie didn't explain how Remus became a werewolf. Harry didn't investigate who is the Half-Blood Prince really was, and most important, no Dumbledore's funeral. Oh yeah, not to mention the battle at the end of the story. Out of the picture. But it is still brilliantly plotted.

Oh yeah, another thing, two morons beside me are making out all the way through the movie, and they were like making sounds when they do it. Making out? On opening show? Idiots. Distraction.

It's been a week after I had my holiday. Well holiday was quite fun. My wife and I was planning to go either Miri or Labuan but since the A H1N1 outbreak tally increasing, we canceled it. We just stayed inside our country's perimeter.

Mostly, we just stayed home but sometimes I hit the road once in a while, just to stay fit. I also played badminton with my wife and her friends at her school. Sometimes we go to movies. We watched Terminator : Salvation and Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen. The movies were great especially Transformers. It gave me lots of adrenaline rush.

We had a picnic in Muara. Like we started late, at three in the afternoon and went home from Muara at seven in the evening. We had barbecue and I swam hundres meters from the beach and stayed afloat for thirty minutes. I also took some pictures of sunset that day, I already displayed one of it in this blog. Gia had fun at the beach.

We also went to Utama Bowling Center. My sister in law also with us. We just had two games after that we went home. Gia became our cheerleader. Hehe.

At the end of the holiday, we went to Temburong to attend my cousin's wedding. We only went to my cousin's house and we didn't go to his partner's house. Like his house is at the end of Temburong and her house is at the other end of the district. It takes one hour just to go there and it was a hot day.

I will provide the pictures as soon as possible.

Oh yeah, I just recovered from my flu shot effect. I had headaches and shivered a lot, even on a hot day.

It's been five days (including last weekend) I have my leave, coinciding with school holiday (which mean I'm having my holiday with my wife). We've been so idle for the past few days, no plans have came up in our mind what to do in this holiday. I just helped my wife with her errands yesterday, bringing her to the JPD and MoE. Actually today we've been planning to go jogging and play badminton together, but it is raining. So maybe no jogging, only badminton. I'm getting dizzy with this idling. Not use to it. No exercise making me nauseous.

Gia on the other hand wants to be pampered all the time. She is learning to walk now. She can do it but she is still afraid (or pretending to be) so we have to hold her hand while she walk. She already went up, down and around the house. If she's not tired, she won't stop. The only med for her, bring her for a stroll, in the car. She doesn't want to eat her food, she want OUR food and she love fruits. So we just let her be. That's our princess.

Oh yeah, she already developed three teeth, two lower front and one upper front.

I didn't know about this until my CO called out my name after we recited Yasin last friday. I was blurred and people asking me,"Is that you?" and I said,"I don't know, I just finished my course, like last week." So I checked with the clerk, long story short, it is me., along with my colleague, Mai. I am very thankful. Thanks for my family and friends for the suppport. But another contraversy will rise up over this.
